Davido has revealed exciting news about a new album and single in the works.
During an interview with The Baller Alert, the Afrobeats superstar shared details about his upcoming album and an upcoming track featuring Chike and Odumodublvck. He also reflected on his recent birthday concert in Atlanta, which was graced by stars such as Odumodublvck, Musa Keys, Mayorkun, Darkoo, and The Composers.
Davido explained that the concert was part of his mission to bring African music to a global stage while providing rising talents a platform to connect with the American Afrobeats community.
He announced that his next album is slated for release in early 2025. Before that, fans can look forward to his new single, Funds, which highlights his Nigerian roots. The track, featuring R&B sensation Chike and hip-hop star Odumodublvck, is a celebration of authentically Nigerian sounds.
The singer also spoke about his collaboration with Chris Brown on their Grammy-nominated track Sensational. Davido revealed that while working on two songs with Chris Brown, the American star had a strong preference for Sensational. The hit, which also features Lojay, became a milestone for both artists, marking their first Billboard Hot 100 entries and earning Lojay his first Grammy nomination.
