Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has made a third attempt to secure his release from jail, with his defense team arguing that he is innocent and that all sexual encounters were consensual.
His legal team has filed new documents, stating that Diddy is “not a threat to the community” as he faces racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
Combs, 54, has denied all accusations and pleaded not guilty. He has been detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since September 17, following claims that he orchestrated drugged sexual events involving victims and male sex workers.
In his latest appeal, Diddy’s attorneys argue that his previous attempt to contact a witness was done with the approval of the witness’s lawyer.
The court is expected to review the appeal, though it may not be heard this week.
