While Corona Virus was making waves in Nigeria in 2020, bone straight hair also came in and “Soro Soke” (Speak Up). Gone are the days when every lady wants Brazilian hair. Back in 2017 – 2019, Brazilian hair was the #1 seller on the hair wig & extension market.

Bone straight hair came in towards the end of 2020 as a joke — memes everywhere and there — “Na babe wey calm down we go buy bone straight for.” And before we knew it, every lady started craving for bone straight hair. After a lady buys her own bone straight hair, she takes to her social media account and oppress others — “Premium wahala for who no get Bone Straight ooo,” She captions. Then another innocent lady sees her post and want to buy hers, pressuring her man to buy her bone straight by force.

There are 3 types of Bone Straight (at least the ones we know of.. Lolz)

  1. Single Drawn
  2. Double Drawn
  3. Super Double Drawn
  • Single Drawn : This type of bone straight has multiple lengths of hair mixed into the extensions making it appear thick at the top, tapers down at the middle and the end, thin. This type is more cheaper than the rest.
  • Double Drawn : This type of bone straight is thick and full at the top, middle and bottom — having the same length.
  • Super Double Drawn (The most Expensive) : This is the thickest bone straight you’ll get. It contains approximately 85-90% amount of hair which are of the same length. When you wear a double drawn type of hair, it gives you an illusion of your natural hair because of its density.

How to Maintain / Care For Your Bone Straight

Maintaining and caring for bone straight hair is super easy. You only need to avoid curling the hair or switch up styles as it’s unsuitable for bone straight.

Though sometimes you might get bored of straight hair and you might want to add some curls to it but just know that curls don’t work for this type of hair. If you want a hair you can curl, go for a natural straight hair.
