How Zazu Zeh Changed Singer Portable’s Life

From Grass to Grace

If anyone had told Zazu singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, that by the end of this year, he would be one of the raves of the moment in the entertainment industry, he probably would have dismissed it with a wave of the hand.

However, that is exactly what is happening to him since he became popular for his song, Zazu Zeh, featuring popular singer and rapper, Olamide.

Portable had things going for him smoothly after his Zazu Zehh release as he also performed at several concerts with top music artistes such as Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, and Small Doctor. His followers on Instagram has also rapidly increased from 20,000 to over 500,000 followers as of the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, he had a fallout with popular dancer Poco Lee when he accused him of taking $2400 and giving him $600 out of the $3000 that Wizkid allegedly ‘sprayed’ him during their performance at the Livespot concert in Lagos.

Portable also stated that Poco Lee was trying to claim the rights to Zazoo Zehh. In a video that went viral, Portable said in pidgin English, “Poco Lee, you didn’t show love towards me. You only wanted to rip (sic) me because you claimed my song. Is Zazoo yours?

However, Portable’s promoter, Kogbagidi, called him an ungrateful person, while many Nigerians supported him, accusing Poco Lee of ripping off the youngster.

Expressing his anger in a video, Kogbagidi said, “Unruly and unprofessional conduct is always expected from up-and-coming artistes. One can never tell what goes on in their minds or heads. I am shocked and embarrassed at this point. Do I need to fix your career and your head at the same time?

Though Poco Lee did not respond to Portable’s claims, several celebrities, including rapper, Olamide, Slimcase and actor, Ijebu, among others plead on his behalf. The singer also made a video apologising for things he said in his earlier video in which he called out Poco Lee.

In a new video making rounds on social media too, Portable was spotted with popular singer, Davido as he prostrated for him.

Davido in the video tried to stop the street sensation from prostrating but Portable continued as he was pleased seeing Davido for the first time following his hit track.
