Creative director for Iceberg, James Long, took to Bagni Misteriosi during the ongoing Milan Fashion Week SS20 to release his first womenswear-only show tagged Underwater Lover. This is a new direction for the creative director and a huge step in his design career at large.
To show off the Iceberg collection at Milan Fashion Week, the italian brand employed Nigerian Afro-pop star, Tiwa Savage who opened the runway with her latest single 49-99. Clad in an ensemble from the Underwater collection, Tiwa looked every bit like a supermodel. A true case of music meets runway!
The collection featured vibrant pastel-sequinned outfits, silk dresses in houndstooth print, Looney Tunes graphics and all-white outfits with fluorescent-green elements. The colourful looks floated the runway before the last of the looks introduced all-black pieces.
The designs were paired with pool-slide and slingback sneakers as evidence that fine tailoring was key stood on the runway pieces. Iceberg’s latest collection is one that demonstrates a youthful vibe while still being sophisticated, easily wearable and ideal for the confident fashion focused lady of today.
