The revelation came via an Instagram post, which has since been deleted, where the artist disclosed that the couple had been apart for some time and were now in the process of divorce.

The news has left fans and followers stunned, as 2Baba and Annie were widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated celebrity couples. Their love story had been a source of admiration for many, making the announcement even more unexpected.

In his heartfelt statement, 2Baba explained his intention to hold a press conference to address the situation further. He expressed his desire to share his perspective openly with his fans and supporters, emphasizing the importance of maintaining transparency with the people who have supported his music career over the years.

His post read, “Hello my beautiful people of all federation. Well, this thing I have to say short but also long… I and Annie Macauley have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce.

I would grant a press release soon to say my story. Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life, but because I love my people and I want them to know my innocence or offense. Stay bless my people.
