Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has become the Nigerian artist with the most charting songs in US Billboard Hot 100 history, surpassing Tems.

Burna Boy achieved this milestone after breaking a tie with Tems, thanks to the debut of “We Pray” by Coldplay, which features him, Little Simz, Elyanna, and Tini Stoessel.

The song entered the chart this week at No. 87, bringing Burna Boy’s total Hot 100 entries to six.

Tems has five entries on the chart, while Wizkid, who was the first Nigerian artist to chart, has four. Rema, CKay, Fireboy, Davido, and Lojay each have one entry.

Burna Boy is now just one song away from surpassing South Africa’s Seether as the African artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries of all time.
