Fans Want Doja Cat to be Banned From Met Gala After She Wore a Wet T-Shirt

Doja Cat’s 2024 Met Gala look has left fans divided with some saying she should be ‘banned’ from the event.

Some key points about Doja Cat’s Met Gala look include:

  • She wore a white towel and hair towel ensemble outside the Mark Hotel, complete with silver jewelry and clear heels.
  • Her makeup featured a dramatic metallic eye look with silver accents.
  • She later changed into a soaking wet white dress, which was a creative interpretation of the “Garden of Time” dress code.
  • The dress was made of a sheer white fabric that appeared to be wet and clung to her skin.
  • Her glam included black mascara “tears” and a gilded cat eye look.
  • Doja Cat is known for her bold and avant-garde fashion choices, and her Met Gala look was no exception.

After Doja Cat walked the red carpet at last year’s Met Gala, dressed as Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette, expectations were high for this year’s event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York. Doja Cat’s outfit for the 2024 Met Gala was eagerly anticipated, and she did not disappoint. She made a bold entrance in a white towel and later changed into a soaking wet dress, which was a creative interpretation of the “Garden of Time” dress code.

And for ‘The Garden of Time‘ theme inspired by a 1962 short story by J.G. Ballard and theme of this year’s exhibit being ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’ the musician decided to wear, well, what looked like a straight-out-the-shower towel set and wet oversized t-shirt.

Doja’s first outfit shows her with a towel wrapped around her body and another on her head as if she’s come straight from the bathroom onto the carpet.

She’s also donning makeup that looks like it’s run down her face too to complete the look, although, she’s had time to pop on some platform heels.

The second look shows Doja – full name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – without the towel, instead in what looks like a sopping wet oversized t-shirt and having removed the hair towel to show her bleached blonde hair.

And it’s not taken long for people to flood to social media to weigh in on the look.

A user on X wrote:

If this is her only outfit then don’t invite Doja Cat next year. Take note Anna Wintour. Didn’t you ban her from Met Gala last year?

Another user commented:

“Doja cat should be banned from the #metgala if this is the final look…”
