Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has finally responded to the controversy surrounding his alleged promise to gift a Lamborghini to his estranged associate, Sophia Egbueje.
The issue began when a leaked voice note surfaced online, in which Sophia allegedly claimed that Burna Boy had promised to buy her a Lamborghini but failed to do so after their intimate encounter.
Feeling deceived, Sophia reportedly blocked the singer and moved on without mentioning it again until the leaked conversation brought it back into public discourse.

In response to the viral allegations, Burna Boy took to his Instagram story, where he playfully mocked Sophia while announcing his arrival in Kenya.
Singing in a lighthearted tone, he said, “I have reached Kenya mehn. No do, I told you. If you don’t get me, forget about it. I didn’t buy Lambo, is that why you’re shouting?”
His reaction has since sparked mixed opinions among fans. Some found his humor amusing, praising his ability to remain unbothered, while others criticized him for making light of the situation instead of addressing it directly.
The debate continues online, with people sharing different perspectives on whether promises like these should be taken seriously.
