Cardi B has officially declared her single status amidst swirling rumors about her relationship with Offset.

The 31-year-old rapper spilled the beans on her relationship status during an Instagram Live session over the weekend. She confessed, “I’ve been single for a minute now,” as reported by a recording of the livestream circulated on X (formerly Twitter).

Opening up about her feelings, she stated, “But I have been afraid… Not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been, like, a sign.”

Expressing her desire for a fresh start in the upcoming year, Cardi B said, “I’m curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah… I’m excited.” She also acknowledged dropping hints about her relationship status through her recent social media activity, including the noticeable unfollowing of each other on Instagram with Offset, whom she privately married in 2017.

“I don’t know if you guys have been getting clues from me, from my Lives, or from my Stories, when I put some certain music, or find my unfollowings,” she mentioned during the Live.

Earlier in December, the “Bongos” rapper posted cryptic messages on her Instagram Stories hinting at potential relationship issues, stating, “You know when you just outgrow relationships.”

Adding to the sentiment, she declared, “I’m done protecting people’s feelings…I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.”

Offset, also 31, responded to the unfollowing news on his Instagram Story with a Scarface clip featuring Al Pacino exclaiming, “Hey, f— you, man! Who put this thing together? Me! Who do I trust? Me!”

In September, the couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary with Offset showering Cardi B with an extravagant display of love, covering their home with massive bouquets of pink and red flowers. The celebration included heartfelt messages on social media, expressing gratitude and love for each other.

However, recent events seem to indicate a change in their relationship status, with both artists now venturing into the new year independently.
