Afrobeats superstar Davido recently shared the unforgettable experience of marrying Chioma in an extravagant wedding ceremony.

Describing the grand affair as a “global celebration” that felt like a holiday in Nigeria, Davido recounted the special day during an appearance on the Bootleg Kev podcast.

The wedding, held in Lagos on June 25, 2024, brought together celebrities, politicians, and dignitaries from all over the world.

The ceremony was marked by electrifying performances from top artists, including Chike, Fireboy DML, and the legendary King Sunny Ade, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

Davido likened the celebration to the extravagant fictional African country of ‘Zamunda,’ calling it “mad crazy.” He expressed that it felt like a holiday in Nigeria, describing it as one of the best days of his life. “Everybody flew in from all over the world to celebrate us,” he shared.

Reflecting on the significance of the occasion, Davido highlighted the importance of protecting their union, acknowledging the challenges that come with being in the public eye. “I feel like a lot of popular people are very vulnerable, knowing that we have to be careful,” he added.

He concluded by expressing deep gratitude for the global outpouring of love, calling it “one of the best days of my life.”
